With the partnership forged between law enforcement and Newark residents we will continue our community-oriented approach to crime reduction as we search for those responsible for this killing. The cooperative efforts of the police and community have directly attributed to the reduction in violent and overall crime this summer compared to the same period last year, a trend we are working aggressively to continue,” said Police Director Samuel DeMaio.
