Earlier this morning at approximately 6:55am, Maplewood police officers responded to Henry Place in Maplewood on a report of a male found in bed unresponsive. The decedent was pronounced dead, via telemetry, by Dr, Rehr of Monmouth County Medical Center Hospital at 7:25 a.m. Death notification has not been communicated to the decedent’s next of kin.
Cause of death is pending autopsy and toxicology report.
The decedent is identified as Arthur Downing, age 27.
The investigation continues.
