Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Irvington Police Director Joseph Santiago announced today the Irvington Police and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Special Victims Bureau are searching for a man wanted for sexually assaulting a 23-year-old woman in Irvington.
On Aug. 8, at approximately 3 am the victim was sexually assaulted in 900 block of Clinton Avenue, Irvington.
The suspect is described as a black male with long dreadlocks. He is believed to be between the ages of 27and 35. He is 5’9’’ to 5’11’’ with a slim build. He has a two inch scar on his face. (See attached sketch).
