Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé announced today that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force is investigating the death of Amin Abdul-Aziz, 43, of Newark.
On March 17, at 7 p.m., police were notified of an assault on the 100 block of North Munn Avenue, Newark. They found Abdul-Aziz suffering from injuries. He was taken to University Hospital in Newark and pronounced dead at 7:48 p.m.
