Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray announced today that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force is investigating a fatal stabbing at Branch Brook Park.
Fredrick Lamont Daniels, 41, was fatally stabbed this morning at the park. He was pronounced dead at University Hospital 12:29 a.m. The preliminary investigation indicates the stabbing was targeted and isolated.
No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is active and ongoing.
