Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II and Irvington Police Director Tracy Bowers announced today that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force is investigating a fatal shooting of an unidentified male victim.
On Sunday, November 27, at about 6:59 p.m., police were notified of a shooting at the intersection of Melrose Avenue and Wills Place in Irvington. Police found the male victim, who was apparently suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:24 p.m.
