Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray announced today an Essex County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Sharonda Wilson, 32, of Irvington with the September 30, 2010 death of Erik Stubblefield, 38, of Willingboro.
Wilson was indicted on murder charges for fatally stabbing Stubblefield at her home. Wilson was also indicted on two weapons offenses arising from her unlawful use of a knife. Wilson and Stubblefield had a romantic relationship.
Wilson will be arraigned on July 12, 2011 before the Honorable Judge Peter J. Vazquez, Judge of the Superior Court.
These charges are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless or until they either plead guilty or are found guilty in a court of law.
