The Essex County Public Safety Youth Academy recruits took their official pledge today! This free three-week program gives youth ages 8-13 a behind the scenes look at the functions of the ECPO, the Newark and East Orange police and fire departments, and the Essex County Sheriff’s Office. The recruits will also go on field trips like the NY Giants training camp, the Turtle Back Zoo, and Dreamworks Water Park at the American Dream Mall.
