SEEKING INFORMATION — FATAL HIT and RUN 2011 — Freeway Drive, EAST ORANGE

On June 11, 2011, a 39 Year old female was fatally struck by a “Hit and Run” driver on Freeway Drive (east) and South Walnut Street in the City of East Orange. Witnesses at the scene, along with physical evidence, indicates the vehicle involved is a 1996-2000 Honda Civic, 4 door color gray. The vehicle was last seen traveling east on Route 280 towards Newark. The Honda, Civic should have damage on the passenger side front fender, door, and hood. Witnesses also indicate there maybe damage to the windshield. Photo below shows similar vehicle.

The Essex County Prosecutors Office Vehicular Homicide Unit is requesting the public’s help in locating the vehicle operator and vehicle involved.
