The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office is still trying to identify the Hispanic male whose body washed up at the Passaic Valley Sewerage Treatment Facility, 600 Wilson Street, Newark, on Friday afternoon, May 14, 2010.
The cause of death was determined to be drowning after an autopsy was performed on Saturday. The manner of death is still pending.
A single fingerprint was recovered from the body. The fingerprint is being used to try to identify the man. The case is still being treated like a homicide.
