Acting Essex County Prosecutor Robert D. Laurino announced today that Irvington High School teacher Sharonda Wilson, 31, of Irvington has been arrested and charged with the murder of Erik Stubblefield, 38, also of Irvington.
On Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010 at approximately 2:23 p.m. Irvington police responded to a 911 call and found Stubblefield in the apartment he shared with Wilson, located at 20 Headley Terrance in Irvington. Stubblefield had sustained a fatal stab wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 2:54 p.m.
Wilson was taken into custody and charged with murder and weapons offenses. The Honorable Verna Leath, J.S.C. set bail at $250,000.
The investigation is continuing.
