Acting Essex Prosecutor Robert D. Laurino announced the fatal shooting Ian Patrick Morris, 34, of East Orange.
Morris was fatally shot at approximately 6:22 PM in the fifth stairwell outside of his apartment located at South Harrison Street in East Orange.
Emergency Medical Services officers responded to the scene and Morris was pronounced dead at 6:45 p.m. by Dr. Lamba.
